Ezulwini Billy’s Lodge is located in the Big 5 Balule Nature Reserve in a pristine region of Limpopo Province, offering a top class Kruger safari.
Sister lodge to Ezulwini River Lodge, Billy’s Lodge boasts expert owner-management, plus the seamless knowledge and experience of the guides. The Balule Reserve shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park, but without public thoroughfare, making it a little piece of private Kruger heaven.
Billy’s Lodge is an aesthetic masterpiece, and one of its stand-out features includes a raised wooden walkway that leads from the main lodge to a viewing deck overlooking the waterhole.
Ezulwini Billy's Lodge is a grand structure accentuated with leadwood pillars and thatched ceilings, and featuring a raised skywalk that leads to a private waterhole.
There are both standard and luxury suites, accommodating a total of 12 people, while the main lodge has a unique indoor bar, boma area, and a leather-suite lounge area.
Billy's Lodge, like River Lodge, has a swimming pool and serves delectable homemade meals under the stars in the glowing presence of lanterns and a dancing fireplace. Luxury suites have private plunge pools and views of the wild surrounds.
Accommodation at Billy's Lodge is stylish and inspired by the natural elements of the Balule bushveld. It has high, thatched ceilings, stained-concrete floors, ensuite bathrooms, and air conditioning. All rooms also have tea and coffee facilities, while luxury suites also have mini bars.
Billy's Lodge has 3 standard rooms; 2 of which are traditional rondavels, and 1 room that leads onto the pool area. Each room sleeps 2 people in twin or double beds with mosquito netting and bedside tables. Ensuite bathrooms are dark-tiled with showers and large vanities.
There are 3 luxury suites, which are indulgently spacious with open-plan ensuite bathrooms, indoor bath, plus indoor and outdoor showers. Private decks have plunge pools, sun loungers, and a view. Room service offering champagne on ice adds to the exclusive safari experience.
Ezulwini Billy's Lodge occupies a unique location on a seasonal riverbed, which is a regular corridor for feeding elephants and various other game.
Room facilities offer comfort and convenience, while the main guest areas and various viewing points leave one spoilt for choice. Billy's Lodge communal area has a bar, indoor lounge, TV, and dining room; shaded main deck with leather couches and views into the bush. Suites have private plunge pools, while the main swimming pool is available for all guests to use.
The unique skywalk leads off the main deck to a viewing deck overlooking waterhole. An open-air boma and a wine cellar built into a natural rock cave with handcrafted display table add to the unique merit of Billy's Lodge.
