Set in the magnificent Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa’s North-West Province, Jaci’s Lodges offers guests the ideal destination for unrivalled game-viewing, unique luxury accommodation options, outstanding service and tailor-made safari activities. Jaci and Jan van Heteren are the founders and owner-manager couple behind Jaci’s Lodges. A dynamic duo, they have spent over 30 years working together to create and sustain their dream of a wildlife and safari experience that surpasses guests’ expectations. Jaci’s Lodges is a true testament to the van Heterens’ insight into the needs of couples, groups and families looking for an authentic, upmarket safari getaway with no keys, no worries, outstanding food and luxury amenities… Additionally, they are passionately committed to empowering and uplifting the individuals who make The Jaci’s Experience so special. Jaci’s Lodges is run by a team of 50 people, most of whom live in the local community. Each person who works at the lodge contributes to the daily running, management, maintenance and service that has made Jaci’s Lodges famous throughout the years.

JACI'S TREE LODGE

Jaci’s Lodges founder and owner Jan van Heteren was profoundly inspired by the Okavango Delta’s characteristically intimate, secluded, luxury camps that seem to grow organically from the earth. These lodges are often built to sit high on stilts and with a focus on ecological construction, they blend seamlessly into their environment. As a result, Jaci’s Tree Lodge is the realisation of Jan’s dream – an elevated lodge that appears to float above the ground… Guests are luxuriously accommodated in custom treehouse-style suites, boasting magnificent views into the surrounding riverine forest, as well as glimpses across the famous Marico River. The Treehouse Suites blend effortlessly into the overarching canopy of lush foliage, making for fantastic birdwatching in a natural environment.

JACI'S SAFARI LODGE

Jaci's Safari Lodge is where it all began – Jan and Jaci’s original “glamping” lodge embraced all they loved about camping, adventuring and exploring the wilds of Southern Africa, with all the creature comforts! To this day, the lodge offers a refreshing, authentic safari space in which to unwind. Here, guests can experience some of Africa’s most impressive wildlife from our eclectic, down-to-earth bushveld haven. The Jaci’s Safari Lodge Main Lodge features an impressively spacious, open-plan lounge, a glorious copper fireplace and bar, chef’s kitchen, and dining areas – all proudly reflecting our trademark, colourful decor and customary South African atmosphere.
