LONDOLOZI

ABOUT

Londolozi is situated on the banks of the Sand River, in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park. Going on safari at Londolozi allows you to have an exclusive and luxurious experience of the area. As a luxury private game reserve, Londolozi is world-renowned. Famous for its Londolozi Feeling, although hard to describe, it could be translated to a combination of experiential luxury surrounded by the spectacular beauty of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, all the while feeling completely at home within this wilderness.
When you visit Londolozi, you are doing far more than immersing yourself in a thrilling wildlife experience; you are helping with the development and socio-economic wellbeing of a whole human ecosystem. Community upliftment, rural education, healthcare, the creation of protected areas in which rhinos and other iconic species can roam freely… these are just a few of the ways in which your safari has a positive impact on the reserve and its surrounding areas. Your safari means the power to improve the lives of both people and wildlife. Your safari means the power to make change.
Pioneer Camp’s three luxury suites and generous bush homestead makes this the most secluded and flexible of the Londolozi Camps. The private suites have superb river views and are perfect for honeymoons and secluded getaways. The Camp can easily be converted into a bush homestead for private multi-generational family groups of between 6 and 12 people, with the option of connecting two of the suites.
At Founders Camp, classic meets modern. This Londolozi signature camp is clean and uncomplicated and really comfortable, leaving nothing forgotten. You will get the feeling of all the comforts of a stylish African home that is ideally situated to provide an insider’s view of the secrets of river life. Classy, grounded and timeless – Londolozi’s Founders Camp represents a safari style that is inviting and restful. Reminiscent of the ancient ‘wattle and daub’ methodology of building, this earthy design celebrates the natural raw elements of nature. Rock, fire, wood and earth. Ten bespoke and varied superior chalets repose in the shade of ancient Ebony and Matumi trees along the banks of the Sand River.
Nestled in the Leadwood tree canopy, this lodge is a sanctuary of elegance and simplicity. Tree Camp is a celebration of over 4 decades of our connections and kinship with the wild free roaming leopards that move through Londolozi. Guests spend lazy afternoons on the Tree Camp deck, champagne in hand, as elephants pass in the river below. By night, the camp glows with countless lanterns and rings with laughter and conversation. In every detail and feature from the swimming pools and contemplation decks (salas), the Ralph Lauren inspired decor, plaited leather beds, plush leather sofas, to the beautiful fabrics that echo the sophisticated feeling of Africa, this exclusive camp provides a matchless showcase of excellence. Tree Camp is a celebration of Leopards, Leadwoods and Lanterns. Tree Camp does not accommodate children under the age of 16, unless guests book the camp exclusively.
The Granite Suites blend the boundaries between inside and outside, creating a seamless integration with nature with large doors and windows opening directly onto the Sand River. Each suite has a luxurious outdoor bath and private, heated swimming pool. This luxury safari lodge is for the discerning traveller who appreciates the finer details. The Granite Suites can be booked individually or as a private camp for six guests, making it ideal for honeymooning couples or small groups celebrating special occasions. This private camp does not accommodate children under the age of 16.
The Varty Camp's original camp is a tapestry of brick paths, dolerite rock walls, waterfalls and tangled vines echoing simple spaces with unencumbered river view backdrops. The tones of the camp reflect the owners’ almost 100-year love affair with this land and therefore place an emphasis on family and heritage. Children over the age of six are welcome at Varty Camp and with some of the chalets inter-leading, Varty Camp is perfect for families. Each room has its own private swimming pool, outdoor shower and outdoor dining sala, framed by timber decks raised off the ground under the shade of an ancient riverine forest. Many guest activities can be found within the surrounds of Varty Camp. These include the Guest Gym, Photographic Studio and Living Boutique as well as the restorative Healing House. The charming “original Sparta Camp” located in the heart of Varty Camp, represents generations of history which echoes a bygone era before Londolozi existed.
