WALKING SAFARIS

A walking safari offers a different kind of adventure to the more common game drive. Early morning wake-up is served with a cup of hot coffee and a spoonful of excitement for the day ahead. Being one of the top things to do in Southern Africa, it allows you to soak up the sounds, smells and colours of the bush in a way that a game drive does not.
Walking safaris are not only for the ultimate hiker, but depending on your fitness, your guide can choose the best suited terrain for you to enjoy. Travellers up for the challenge can take on the rocky uphill paths or those who simply wish to stretch their limbs, can enjoy a slower-paced walk with a few stops to admire the trees and the birds. A walking safari will open your eyes to a whole new insight to the African bush, one of you and nature. Groups are also smaller, often with a max of 6 guests per group, with your guide and tracker.

Your guide and tracker will educate and interpret all that you encounter, from the small dung beetle rolling his ball, to the tracks etched onto a game path that evening by a mighty lion, or perhaps even the holes dug into the side of a termite mound by an elusive aardvark.

Take the path less travelled and explore the African bush like it was done in the past, by some of the greatest explorers to set foot on these otherwise secluded areas.
